Which binding is best for annual report printing?
PUR perfect binding, done in house, gives a square spine for longer reports. Saddle stitching suits shorter reports, and wiro binding lets a report lie flat.

Paper stocks and cover lamination
Most printed annual reports use a heavier cover with a lighter text stock inside, so the report feels substantial without becoming bulky. Silk stocks give photographs and charts a crisp, smooth finish. Uncoated stocks feel natural and are easy to write on, which suits strategic plans, workbooks and reports with a softer brand. We print on FSC certified stocks and can supply carbon-balanced print if your report needs to show its environmental credentials.
Covers can be laminated to protect them and lift the colours. A matt lamination gives a subtle, soft finish, while gloss gives a high shine, photographic look. For a report that needs to stand out at a launch, ask about foiling, spot UV or embossing on the cover.

Short runs
Short runs for board meetings, AGMs and events
Not every report needs thousands of copies. Digital printing makes short runs practical, so you can print 50 copies of a strategic plan for a board away day, 100 perfect bound reports for an AGM or a single set of wiro bound board packs, without paying for a long litho run you do not need.
Typical enquiries include a 56 page perfect bound annual report in a run of 50 to 100 from a design agency, a 140 copy, 80 page A4 yearbook from a school, and repeat runs of 200 workbooks for a business.
Short runs also make it easy to print a small number for launch day and a larger run once the final version is signed off, or to reprint a few extra copies after the AGM. Because we print, bind and deliver from the same site, a small reprint does not mean starting again.
For bigger distributions we handle the whole job: print the full run, then post copies to members, shareholders or donors through our mailing and fulfilment service.

Bound documents take a little longer than flat print because each copy is collated, bound and trimmed, which is why we recommend booking your print slot as soon as you know your publication date, even before the final figures are in.
Our digital presses run overnight Monday to Friday, which keeps short runs moving, and because everything happens in Dún Laoghaire there is no waiting on an outside bindery.
